Deadline﹙死线﹚在即,似是赶不上了!怎么办才好?海量未完成的项目,在短短几小时内又岂能突然完成呢?虽然你灰心得很想撒手不管、抓狂或自暴自弃,但更好的方法是发一封电邮让对方知道你现时的进度。虽然,对方可能会因为接获延迟email而觉得烦厌,甚至生气,但比起交出错漏百出或未完成的作品,还是争取多一点时间,交出令人满意的作品来挽回名誉较为好。

当然,若相关工作延期也不会对别人带来太大影响,那单是用一封电邮知会对方已足够,但若这次延期是关乎到公司会否损失一个大客户,那除了寄出电邮外,应还需要以电话或与上司开会作通知。而在追赶新的完工时间时,也最好以电邮向上司报告各阶段的进度,好让他与客户解释。
