【塘虱风暴．专访】钓鱼郎平坂宽：永不能在日本找到如此污染的河

日本人平坂宽，专程来香港钓巨型塘虱，更炮制成“美食”，忍臭吞下。记者联络平坂，他受访时收起网志上的幽默，认真讲解他的哲学和理念。
他是一个生态及鱼类专家，喜欢研究大自然；
他亦是一个猎人，认真品尝从大自然取得的食物；
他更是一个环保人士，对锦田河的水质受严重污染感到痛心。

联络他之前，记者佩服他的坚持，同时担忧他太疯狂，难以沟通。幸而，平坂平易近人，透过Twitter与记者以英文对谈。

这条河（锦田河）水质的恐怖程度远超乎想像！你永远不能在日本找到一条如此污染的河流。 香港人非常勤快和充满生命力，如果他们意识到这个问题且开始着手改变，毫无疑问可将问题解决。

Q：请简单介绍一下自己。

A：我今年30岁，在日本茨城县的筑波大学硕士毕业，主修鱼类学和环境科学，现为网上生物杂志网站的总编辑。

Q：为什么你会来香港钓鱼？是否一开始就打算钓鲶鱼（塘虱）作为目标？

A：我对栖息在城市的大鱼非常感兴趣，了解牠们的生物特征令我感兴奋。而且调查一些“外星”（外来种）的生物也是我的兴趣之一，我曾经出版过有关书籍。这条巨型塘虱就是我出发前已订下的目标，这趟旅程是很好的经验。

（I'm very interested in big fish lives in urban side! Their biological characteristics is so interesting and exciting for me. In addition, investigation of alien species is one of the my life style. I published book on this theme. That catfish is the very target, who meets both interests. This is the reason why, I got to Hong Kong and hunt the bad-tasting big fish. Very good experience for me.）

Q：你为何热爱到世界各地钓鱼和捕捉各种生物？

A：我很热爱鱼类和不同的动物，喜爱捕捉牠们和再仔细研究，以了解牠们。我相信如果要了解一种生物，就应该用五官感受：触摸、观察、聆听、用鼻子嗅以及品尝牠，所以通常我都会将钓到的猎物吃掉。过往我有不少有趣经验，最近更在日本北海道的海岸钓到一条超巨型狼鱼，当我上载到Twitter时，外国朋友都误以为该鱼受辐射影响而变得巨大。

（Well, I love fish or other various animals, and catch them to obtain detail knowledge of them. This is my belief. If we try to know animals deeply, should use five senses, the sense of touch, sight, hearing, smell, and TASTE. So, I often hold and eat fish as did this time. Interesting experience... I have so many! Recently, I caught a giant wolf-fish at the coast of Hokkai-do Japan. And then I upload photos of them on Twitter, many foreigner mistake the normal big fish for a monster made by radiation effect!）

Q：你在Twitter上表示，在港捉到的该条塘虱很臭，你真把牠吃完？既然很臭，为何还要吃？

A：当然有吃，我花了4至5天才把牠吃完。把牠吃掉，对我来说这是一种责任或要求，以尊重这条栖息在你（们）国家、又大又顽强的鱼。不过这条鱼味道很可怕，味道好像废油或天然洗洁精，甚至化学品，要吃下条味道欠佳的大鱼，令我非常痛苦。

（Yes. Of course and I took 4 or 5 days to finish whole fish. This is the duty or requiescat (request) for that respected big and tough fish lived in your country. It was terrible... Smells like waste oil or neutral detergent or some other CHEMICALS...! I took much pains with eat huge amounts of meat...）

Q：你怕不怕这条鱼有毒？食用后有否不适？

A：我不太肯定这条鱼是否有毒，但肯定（吃下）对健康有害。为了把该条鱼吃完，我每天逐少吃掉鱼肉，其中一天却因为吃得太多而有点肚痛，但我不肯定是因为鱼肉有毒，抑或吃得太多食油。

（However, I am not exactly sure if they are toxic, must be not good for our health. I eat him over a period of days, in small quantity each days. But, the day I ate much amount of meat, I had little stomach ache. I don't know the cause is toxic meat or too much fried oil...?）
