【逃犯条例】浸大校舍实施出入管制 设三检查站 禁非师生入校
上周大学生及示威者占据大学与警方对峙,浸会大学受到破坏。随着示威者离开,校方收回校舍,浸大今日(22日)向师生、教职员及校友发电邮,指校方关注校园及师生的安全问题,即日起会加强校园保安措施,包括实施出入管制,所有师生均须出示证件才能入校,所有入校的大型行李均须接受安检,而一切涉及外来人士或团体之活动将取消,访客只能在登记身份证及师生陪伴下方能入校,以防止外来人士入侵或故意破坏校园设施。校方更呼吁学生最近不要回校,而住宿学生亦宜离开校园。
强烈呼吁仍在校学生离开校园
浸大校方表示,为确保师生安全,九龙塘校区将实行严格的出入管制,所有浸大师生及教职员必须出示浸大学生证、职员证方能入校;即日起九龙塘校舍只维持基本服务和运作,所有学生及教职员的活动,以及涉及外间团体或人士的活动均会取消,意味非浸大师生不能入校。
浸大同时强烈呼吁仍住在宿舍的学生离开校园,由于所有面授教学已转为在线或校外学习,故校方亦建议学生不要回校。
访客只能在师生陪伴及登记下进校
至于有学生或教职员陪同的访客,在出示身份证登记,可在指定三个入口进校(包括逸夫行政楼、善衡校园金城道入口、浸会大学路中医学院小巴站附近入口),惟停留时间只限于每日早上7时至晚上11时。而不论是师生或访客携带的大型物件及行李,均须在入校前接受安全检查。
校方同时公布,图书馆及饭堂等设施将暂停或只提供有限度服务,如大学内的浸信会教堂已关闭、校内大多餐厅及食堂会停业、校园校友使用体育设施等服务亦已暂停。
加强版保安措施会持续至另行通知
校方在电邮末段表示,明白有关措施将为大家带来不便,但管理层在香港目前情况下,加强保安是必需的,希望此举可确保师生安全。而有关保安措施将立即生效至另行通知,有机会会持续至下一学期。

Campus Security Arrangements Announced
As campus safety and risks remain a major concern, the University has decided to introduce additional safeguards to ensure the safety of students and colleagues, to prevent the intrusion of outsiders, and also to prevent vandalism and damages of our campus facilities. The additional safety measures as set out below take immediate effect until further notice, and are likely to remain in force until the start of the next semester.
Essential services only
With immediate effect, the Kowloon Tong Campus will maintain essential services and basic operation only. All students and staff events as well as events involving outside parties and external guests are cancelled.
Staff’s work arrangements
As the campus is in basic operation mode while all essential services have to be maintained, department heads will exercise discretion in deciding the most effective work arrangements including flexible hours arrangement for their team, having regard to operational needs.
Students advised to stay away from campus
Students still staying in hostels on campus are encouraged to leave the campus. Students not living on campus are strongly advised not to come back to campus, as all on-campus face-to-face teaching, assessments, and research activities have been switched to on-line learning and other off-campus modes.
Cha Chi Ming Science Tower (SCT) arrangements
All wet labs in SCT at Ho Sin Hang Campus will be shut down and locked up. Offices in SCT remains open for staff members only.
Library and Learning Commons
Main Library and Chinese Medicine Library at Kowloon Tong Campus: Remain open 9 am - 6 pm on weekdays. Closed on public holidays. Academic Commons at Main Library levels 2 and 3: Remains open 9 am - 6 pm on weekdays. Closed on public holidays.
Learning Commons on Level 4 of AAB: Closed. Learning Commons at Level 6 Fong Shu Chuen Library: Closed.
Canteen opening hours
The Main Canteen at Level 5 of Academic and Administration Building and the Harmony Cafeteria at Ho Sin Hang (HSH) Campus will operate from 7:30 am – 7:00 pm. Bistro Bon will operate from 8 am – 10 pm during weekdays. Please check with the restaurant for weekend business hours as the situation is still fluid at the time of this announcement. All other on-campus restaurants and canteens: business suspended.
Other facilities
Sports facilities on Kowloon Tong Campus: Closed. University Baptist Church: Closed.Academic Community Hall: Closed.Joint Sports Centre: Closed.
Alumni services
On-campus alumni services such as usage of sports facilities have been suspended until the campus is back to normal operation.
Access control at Kowloon Tong Campus
To ensure safety for our students and colleagues and to give them the peace of mind so that they feel safe, strict access control will be implemented at Kowloon Tong Campus. Outsiders who have no business in HKBU will not be allowed to enter the campus at all times. For visitors coming to the campus to meet with students or staff, they have to produce photo ID, register, and be escorted by the sponsoring students or staff for entering the campus.
Visitors are allowed to remain on campus during 7 am – 11 pm only. Outside this period, no visitors will be allowed to stay on campus.
Details of access control:
1. HKBU Personnel: Students, colleagues, and service providers:They have to show their HKBU Student Cards / Staff Cards / company staff cards on entry to Kowloon Tong Campus.
2. Visitors:
Visitors accompanied by students or staff can enter the Kowloon Tong Campus only through three designated entry points where they have to produce photo ID, register, and be escorted by their students/staff sponsors. The three designated entry points are set out as follows and also shown on the attached map: (a) Shaw Tower main entrance;(b) Entrance adjacent to the minibus stop at Baptist University Road near School of Chinese Medicine; (c) HSH Campus entrance at Kam Shing Road.
3. For staff-sponsor visitors, optional prior registration can be made through the respective department heads to reduce visitor waiting time at entry points for completing the entry procedure.For alumni, entry registration can be done through the Alumni Affairs Office.
Bringing bulky material and baggage into the campus
Bulky substances and baggage will be subject to security check. This applies to students, colleagues, and visitors alike.
The above measures will inevitably cause inconvenience to all members of the HKBU community but judging from what had happened elsewhere in Hong Kong, the university management judges that they are necessary and essential. We appeal to you for patience and understanding so that students and colleagues would not only be safe but also feel safe. All arrangements will return to normal once the situation so warrants.
