The Flashback《 Wintertime 》- 冬季无疾而终的感情
香港乐队 The Flashback 在 2018 年推出首支单曲《 Replay 》后，一直密锣紧鼓地推出新作品，除了推出了新歌《 Down By The River 》外，也参与了抢耳音乐厂牌计划让更多人认识。乐队的又一新作《 Wintertime 》最近上线了，听听歌的同时，乐队也分享了歌曲背后的点滴。
The Flashback 说：“《 Wintertime 》是在 2018 年冬天写的第一首心碎情歌，作曲灵感来自 Bob Dylan 、Travis 及 Kings of Convenience，以及经典电影《情书》( The Letter ) 和《无痛失恋》( Eternal Sunshine of Spotless Mind )。例如副歌的第一句‘ It’s a simple twist of emotion ’便是向 Bob Dylan 一曲《 Simple Twist of Fate 》致敬；‘ I’m writing to reach you ’则是向 Travis 的作品《 Writing to Reach You 》致敬。”
这首歌原本只是主音 Season 在 Band 房即兴玩、模仿 Kings of Convenience 的“二次创作”民谣歌曲，鼓手 Rocky 听到后加入，以 math rock 风格用“ Linear ”的作法令歌曲改头换面。歌曲早在 2018 年冬天完成，但完成之际已经过了圣诞，于是歌曲延迟到 2019 年圣诞节推出。
《 Wintertime 》的歌词是关于香港男生遇上来自英国约克女生的爱情故事。以一个幼稚、性格倔强的男主角出发，诉说一段无疾而终的感情。两人在冬天相遇、相恋；随著夏天的离去，两人却在一年后的冬天分开了。
女生回到了英国，男生在香港那些充满英国风味的街道（ Westland Street、Harvest Street ) 思恋女生，不舍地寻找两人之间那微妙、薄弱的连系。回到两人曾经一起住的蜗居，想起女生提起那家乡的雪人、想起两人曾经拥有过的承诺、妥协；坐到车子里，想起两人曾在后座连夜缠绵，然后在那圣诞前夕的晚上因为各种无聊的理由争吵、分开，男生故作理性地问：“ Why can't you keep calm and listen? ”
现在男生只能抽一口香烟，默默祝福。
“ 在MV里，我们转以女生角度诠释这个故事。”The Flashback 说。“即使男生已经离开了，女生仍不忘为他悉心打扮，在西环街道上等待著一个永远不会出现的‘他’。男生送他的玩偶、菲林相机、发带，她都不舍地保留著，试图挽留一段消逝的感情。”
