MO之所以用单线创作,他有这样的见解:“Everything here comes from the same energy. If I die, I become a tree, and the bird eats the tree and it becomes me. Everyone is one. One continuous energy that just goes and goes and goes.”
MO的作品更有抽象主义的艺术感隐含其中。
乍看极简纯粹,但背后的复杂性绝不比其他刺青风格容易掌握。
他的作品多以围绕人、动物、植物的形态、意象、甚至是灵魂。
他不会在纹身前为客人起草图,因MO认为放于画纸上创作是死的,皮上画布才拥有真正的生命。
MO GANJI曾经在一家全球服装连锁店工作,更是店内的资深零售管理层,薪金更达六位数。
他后来反问自己:“So you achieve the life standard that everyone is seeking, a good place, a car, a career – and you say. This is good, I make a lot of money, but it’s not really satisfying. This is not me.”
