【大埔公路翻九巴】政府总部下半旗致哀　官员避出席喜庆活动

大埔公路日前发生致命的严重交通意外，导致19人死亡。特首林郑月娥表示，明日政府总部将会下半旗致哀，政府高级官员亦尽量避免出席喜庆活动。
行政署今日亦发送电邮予全体公务员，希望他们明日早上10时一同为事件默哀。

行政署电邮指，政府对事件表示沉重哀悼，为对死伤者致意，在可行情况下，鼓励所有同事10时左右，在工作地点默哀一分钟。

电邮又称，未来数周，主要官员及高级公务员应避免出席喜庆活动，而就算出席的话，亦应保持低调。

The Government is deeply saddened by the tragic traffic accident which occurred on Tai Po Road on Saturday February 10, resulting in 19 deaths and 66 injured. 

To express our deep condolences to the victims of the accident, all colleagues are encouraged, where possible and appropriate, to observe a one-minute silence by standing at their work station/area in a dignified manner at or around 10:00 a.m. tomorrow. 

In the coming weeks, principal and senior officials should avoid attending celebratory activities as far as possible, or to keep a low profile if their presence is necessary.
